Points Setting

Points Rule

Setting Points Rules involves defining how members earn points. For instance, you can set a rule like “1 point for every $10 spent.” Beyond a simple points ratio, you can also create tailored rules for:

(i) Special Periods: Award double points during festive seasons.

(ii) Specific Items or Products: Offer bonus points on certain high-value or promotional products.

There are several types of rules:

(i) Basic Points Rule: The basic points ratio on amount spent from customers. This can only be set by IT configuration.

(ii) Slot Rule: The Slot Rule allows you to configure a specific time period with a special points ratio. The key difference between the Slot Rule and Item Rule setup lies in the use of the “Slot” input.

(iii) Item Rule: Set special points for specific Loyalty or E-commerce products, with options to include or exclude items.

After setting up the Item Rule, you will need to specify which products are applicable or not. To limit the products, you can set criteria based on Product Name, Product Type, Item SKU, or Item Type. For more detailed instructions, please refer to the Managed Rule Criteria Guide.

Manage Rule Criteria

Rule criteria are used to limit item or slot rules to specific conditions. However, this feature is only available after the basic rule has been set up.

Below are some examples:

(i) Birthday Rule: Provide extra points to members whose birthdays fall between January and February.

(ii) Minimum Amount: Members can earn double points when they spend a minimum of $250.

(iii) Branch-Specific Rule: : Members can earn double points when they make purchases at a specific branch. Multiple criteria can coexist within a single slot or item rule. For example, you can set a rule where customers earn double points if they make a purchase at a specific branch and spend at least $250.

In addition to the criteria mentioned earlier, you can also include or exclude special point ratios based on the following factors:

(i) Customer Tier: Provide 10x points for VIP tier members.

(ii) Order Channel: Offer 2x points for purchases made via WhatsApp.

(iii) Order Time Period: Offer 2x points for purchases made via WhatsApp.

(iv) Order Week Day: Reward 4x points for coffee orders placed on Monday.

(v) Product Name: Offer 5x points for new products.

(vi) Product Type: Provide 5x points for merchandise.

(vii) Payment Method: Give 2x points for payments made with AliPay.

(viii) Item SKU: Offer 5x points for clearance sale products.

(ix) Item Type: Reward 5x points for Black Friday sale products.

Each of these criteria may require IT support for configuration.

Manual Points Adjustment

Merchants can manually adjust points for members as needed, such as correcting errors or issuing refunds.

(i) Assign Points: Add points to a member’s account manually.

(ii) Void Points: Deduct points from a member’s account manually.

Points Expiry

Points expiry is designed to create a sense of urgency, encouraging members to use their points rather than hoarding them.

(i) Basic Points Rule (Spending Points) Expiry:

(ii) Expiry for Welcome, Birthday, Custom, and Referral Points:
